Cross-sectional Observation of Micro- and Nanobubbles Formed <i>In-situ</i> in a Scanning Electron Microscope

چکیده
Surface micro- and nanobubbles were formed in situ using a conventional scanning electron microscope by radiolysis of water confined liquid cells with electron-transparent windows. The shapes contact angles the bubbles at window corner directly measured microscope. All observed close to 90°, regardless size, indicating that had almost maximized Laplace pressure. Bubble formation far from irradiation site was also analyzed Monte Carlo simulation.
